I had a really hard time capping Jagged Bones, but the main reason was because I was an idiot and left town with 3 heroes that were all levels 13-15 (trying to level them via Wurms, decided to cap, dude is on rocky terrain and can't be in wurms to fight). That one really sucked, but there was a res shrine right nearby, so I just kept trying till they were all dead and we were at 60% DP. Fun, fun.
EDIT:
Ha! I was typing mine up when you posted this, so I didn't see it. So true, so true.

Oh no, Jagged Bones comes from the area outside of Abaddon's Gate. Order of Undeath comes from the necro boss you're talking about and his 300 dmg Deathly Swarm is a pain the in ass.
Also Mungri, with heroes..downed him in 5 minutes.

I agree...the only reason why it would be hard to cap that one is if you have the wrong builds for the area...or if you try to cap it by finding one of his random spawns...it's by far easier just to go through snake dance and into dreadnought's drift to his guaranteed spawn location. I usually try capping as many elites as I can on the run up there.
if I had to pick one I'd probably say Jagged Bones...gates of maddness is one of my least favorite areas in the game.

D'oh! You're right. It was OoU. Yeah, Deathly Swarm is insta-kill 3 party members at 60% DP. Ouch.
I did cap Jagged Bones, but I don't remember it being hard at all. Maybe you had an active quest down there with a ridiculous amount of torment spawns?
Oh yeah, and Mungri? Super-easy if you pull and aggro right. His actual group is pretty small, you just have to watch the patrols in that area. Once you get 2-3 groups on you, he can pretty much keep them all alive for a while, making it a pain. Even still, it ain't that bad. No worse than say, Josso Essher in Thirsty River or Josinq the Whisperer in Resplendent Makuun.
Hmm... I guess each game has it's own PITA monk boss.

Most bosses in Tyria. Not because the bosses were hard, or the areas were hard, but because random boss spawns suck...

Many prophecies skills such as the ones in Mineral springs, Frozen Forest and Snake Dance that are so damn annoying to get too because of the random selection.

Anything in Mineral Spring..Always an annoyance.
Oh, and Perdition Rock in the pre-hero days.

Mesmer's Construct - Sunjiang District (explorable). There's a furball of patrolling mobs around the boss and they all attack at the same time when trying to pull. Very annoying especially without heroes.

One of my least favorite memories skill capping was getting Flourish (I believe) in Mineral Springs. I had DDF so... Titans spawned. I cleared the whole god damned place with the titans and when I cleared, the boss wasn't even there and I couldn't believe it. My friend that was helping me left and after 30 minutes or running around.... I found the boss's dead body that didn't disappear (And I did not come by him because the fricking Titans killed him). .

Mungri Magicbox, Echovald Forest - (Boon Signet) Carries 1 other monk with him and roaming patrols throughout the area. Finally got it after 2 tries but it takes forever.
Onslaught of Terror, Nightfallen Jahai - (Onslaught) The dude just hits really hard. Wiped out my hero/hench group quite a few times before I capped it.

order of undeath boss, he 'knows' how to really use his elite and got a few healers there, that res fallen mobs and your party supplies him his mobs lol.
An assassin guildy helped there, and was a peice of cake.
So it is really down to party composition. Random boss spawns are err interesting..maybe annoying.

Mungri was a major PITA to cap with a monk and an all hero party (that was long before NF, mind you) - it took over 30 minutes of wrestling before he yielded (henches have always been weak on firepower). When I visited him recently with my ele who was going for the legendary skill hunter title, and a H+H party, he was a complete pushover, the entire mob wiped in less than 15 seconds
I initially capped Jagged Bones during a master level quest in Nightfallen Jahai, that was ... painful. Later I learned that there's a trivially easy way to cap the skill elsewhere.
I have always found Maw in Dreadnought's Drift and I though that it's a guaranteed spawn. All the three RoF rider bosses always spawn as well, you may only have to go an extra mile if the one you're looking for is not in front of the mursaat stronghold. There hasn't been any problem with HP either, I think that all the bosses can be found around the portals if not before. This leaves the dryders of Abaddon's Mouth the most annoying bosses of the entire lot. It's a long way to go just to find out that the one you're looking for is having a vacation

Even with a Migraine Mesmer and/or a BHA Ranger he has CoP to deal with it. Never been killed by him, but he takes forever to kill. Even without his elite on, his Orison seems to heal for a ton.

Hardest one I've come across so far is Moles Quibus in Hell's Precipice. Well, not so much hard as annoying. It wasn't so bad once the Panic was cleared up, but that was one of the few parts of the game that made me shout "Oh ****!" out loud.

For me it was Chazek Plague Herder, because I couldn't figure out how to get to him. I was wandering around Unwaking Waters getting really frustrated.
I even had alt held down most the time. I was so impatient and it got to me.

Either of the end bosses in Kodonur Crossroads. Even if you tell your group "I need to cap [insert elite here] so we gotta kill [insert boss name here] first." they always kill the other guy first and so you have to either try to solo it or go with another group and try again.

In my experience Onslaught was by far the worst.
Died 53 times trying to cap that one
